Robert K. Still, 100, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in a local health care facility. He was a dairy farmer most of his life and served on the board of directors of several farming organizations. During World War II he served his country by working as an electrician at Oak Ridge. He was a member of Thompson Springs Baptist Church for 80 years. Robert was also a charter member of the Taylor Ruritan Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Ownbey Still; parents, Robert H. and Dina Hicks Still; son, Robert “Robbie” Still; sisters, Catherine Still, Gussie (Austin) Phillips, Mary (Forrest) Humphrey, Frances (J.H.) McConnell, Josephine (Hubert) Phillips, Margaret (Paul) Renner, Ida Mae Still and Hazel “Sue” (Clifford) McConnell; and brothers, Martin “Cotton” (Imogene) Still and Roy Lee “Jack” Still.
Survivors include his daughter, Sue Ann (Johnny) Passman of Ball Ground, GA; daughter-in-law, Joyce Stevenson Still of Cleveland; grandchildren, Sheila Still Elrod and Jeff (Kim) Still, all of Cleveland, John Passman of Marietta, GA and Lori (Paul) Markum, all of Marietta, GA and Phil (Julie) Passman of Raleigh, NC; several great and great great grandchildren; sister, Betty (Benny) Elmore; sisters-in-law, Polly Still, Frankie Wolgamott, Betty Ballard and Nancy (Bill) Chastain; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Teague officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
