James “Jim” H. Robinson, Jr., 81, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. He was employed with Matlock Trailer Corp for 30 years and later with Walmart as the door greeter. Jim was of the Christian faith. He was an avid fisherman, camper and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Robinson, Sr. and his mother, Margaret Burney Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Wanda “Jane” Brooks Robinson of Cleveland; four children, Margaret “Margie” Phillips and husband, Lester of Salem, AL, Jonathon Robinson and wife, Rebecca of Cleveland and Kenneth Robinson and James H. Robinson III, both of Nashville; six grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Robinson and wife, Jean of Nashville and Paul Robinson and wife, Linda of Mt. Juliet; sister-in-law, Nel Gray and husband, Don of Whitehouse; and three nieces and three nephews.
The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Dustin Wildes officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
