Ruth Snyder

Ruth Snyder, 82, of Cleveland, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at an Athens health care facility.  She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and she lived by faith and loved the Lord Jesus Christ.  She was and avid walker and farmer’s wife.  Ruth was a loving mother and had a deep love and cared for her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Snyder; parents, Frank and Mamie Hampton and siblings, Faye Seaton and Frank Hampton, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Rick Snyder and wife, Leea of Georgetown, KY and Mitzi Dickens and husband, Ray of Ocoee; grandchildren, Brad Snyder of Shelbyville, KY, Luke Snyder of Lexington, KY and MacKenzie Dickens of Ocoee; great-grandchildren, Levi Snyder of Shelbyville, KY and Maddox Snyder of Sellersburg, IN; sister, Shirlon Seaton of Gloucester, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Reverend Kinzel Hooker officiating.  Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that contributions can be made in Ruth’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400 McLean, VA 22102 or Shiloh Baptist Church, 358 US 64 Hwy, Ocoee TN, 37361.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Athens Place staff, who loved and cared for Ruth.
