Forrest Clifford Murray, 94, resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the family residence. He was fun-loving and never met a stranger. He loved to talk about the good old days and the different jobs he held in the furniture upholstery business. Forrest was an avid sportsman and especially loved to golf, fish, and hunt. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Smith Murray; parents, Robert and Sloma Murray; two brothers, Harry Murray and C. L. Murray; and two sisters, Ruby Carlton and Ruth Melton.
Forrest leaves behind to cherish his memories his six brothers, Ivan Murray, James Murray, Kenneth Murray, Lester Murray and Carl Murray, all of Cleveland and the Reverend Larry Murray of Ardmore, Oklahoma; four sisters, Pauline Hammond of Chattanooga, Robbie Tucker of Kingston, TN and Carolyn Beavers and Shirley Lowe, both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Reverend Lake Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Wade Patterson, Cody Withrow, Dan Murray, Michael Lowe, Dan Smith and Ricky Murray serving as pallbearers.
His family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
