Pauline O. Brackin, 94, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, went to be with her Lord and family Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was a life time member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she was presented an award for 75 years of service. Mrs. Brackin served her church in many ways, one of which was as one of the first Lord Stitchers members, quilting for the sick and homeless. She served as librarian at Taylors School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Maudie Armstrong Ownby; her husband, Ray Brackin; her two sons: Raymond Brackin Jr. and Steve Brackin and one daughter, Peggy Brackin Roberson. Her seven siblings also preceded her in death: Edna Renner, Jim Ownby, Ralph Ownby, Roy Ownby, Lewis Ownby, Essie Brackin and Margie Stephenson.
She is survived by two daughters-in-law: Susan Brackin and Carolyn Brackin, both of Cleveland; grandchildren: Raymond Aaron Brackin and fiancé Tracey Croft of Madisonville, TN, Todd and Regina Roberson, and Andy and Heather Roberson, all of Pikeville, TN, Jennifer Brackin, Zack and Tabitha Brackin, all of Cleveland; great grandchildren: Emma Roberson, Sarah Roberson, Riley Roberson and Reagan Roberson; sister-in-law, Betty Ownby of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fike- Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Reverend Arris Cavender and Pastor Michael Cawood officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
