Esther “Carol” Clevenger, 85, of Cleveland, received her much deserved heavenly reward on Sunday, April 8, 2018, passing away at her home ending her struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born October 27, 1932 to the late Floyd and Mary Wattenbarger Clevenger. Carol was a member of Waterville Baptist Church. She was retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital as a medical records librarian after 42 years of service. Carol was a giving person, always putting other people ahead of her own needs.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd Jr., Wallace and Howard Clevenger; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Lorrayne Clevenger; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Bill Kennedy and Elaine and Larry Junkin.
Survivors include her sister, Joanne Taylor of Wiggins, MS; sisters-in-law, Ruby Clevenger of Cleveland and Blanche Clevenger of Maryville; dear friend, Eunice Heath of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Lovelace and Pastor Joe Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Fort Hill Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
