James Tennis Reagan, 75, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was a long distance truck driver and was retired from Shaw Industries. Tennis was formerly employed with Magic Chef. He was a member of Maple Street Baptist Church where he served as head deacon. He was a member of the Hardees Breakfast Club at the Hardees on Keith Street. His hobbies included farming, hunting, tinkering and wood working. Tennis enjoyed being with family and friends and helping others. His final tribute was being an organ donor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Alma Oliver Reagan; brothers, Bill Reagan and Winfred Reagan; and sisters, Margie Kendrick and Mary Ann Barbree.
Survivors include his wife, of nearly 55 years, Judy Reagan; three children, James William Reagan (Susan) and Joan Palmer, all of Cleveland and Laura Reagan of Lenoir City; seven grandchildren, Aubrey Reagan, Kelsea Reagan, Sunnie Reagan, Reagan Lively (Edward) and Shelby Palmer, all of Cleveland and Samantha Jones and Charles Daniel Tallent, both of Madisonville; two great grandchildren, Natalie Jones and Leland McMillian, both of Madisonville; three sisters, Shirley Knight, Verla Akins and Judy Smith, all of Cleveland; brothers, Wayne Reagan and Cecil Reagan, both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Mowery and Tracy Reagan officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tim Smith, Joey Smith, Colby Ownbey, Logan Cox, Dewayne Barbree, Larry Ownbey, Daniel Tallent and Edward Lively serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
