David Joseph Colloms

David Joseph Colloms, 51, of Blairsville, GA and originally from Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. He was self-employed as an investor in real estate. He attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC. David loved being outside and loved Tennessee football. He loved hiking, golfing, landscaping, gardening, training dogs and camping. One of the things he enjoyed most was hiking parts of the Appalachian Trail with his German shepherd “Cedar”.

He made a lasting impression on everyone he met. David was the type of person that once you met him you never forgot him. He was a witty, kind, interesting, resourceful, talkative person who never met a stranger. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend and will be sadly missed by many.

David was preceded in death by his father, Billy Vaughn Colloms. 

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Robin Annette Albritton Colloms; mother, Linda Lorene Wright; brothers, Thomas Floyd Colloms and Richard Vaughn Colloms; sister, Lisa Michele Colloms; special sister-in-law, Denise Harris; nephews, Elijah Colloms and Eric Colloms; niece, Erin Harris; and many special aunts and uncles. 

A celebration of David’s life will be at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC and at the First Baptist Church in Charleston, TN.  The days and times will be announced at a later date.
