Barbara Ann Morgan, 73, of Cleveland passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 in a local hospital after complications of a long-term illness. She was an active and dedicated member of God’s House of Prayer, where she sang about her love for Jesus. She loved to write songs and often shared them with the church congregation.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Morgan Sr.; parents, Rev. Amos Eldon & Ruth Ruby Lee Waters; sister, Wanda Gibbs; and brother-in-law Thidora Gibbs.

She is survived by her son, Joe Morgan Jr. and wife Nicole; daughter, Gail Shoemaker; granddaughter, Madison Ensley, all of Cleveland. Grandson, Nathan Ensley and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Ensley, both of Chatsworth, GA, brother, Hershell Waters and wife Rita of Cleveland, sisters-in-law Nancy (Morgan) Tidwell of Dalton, GA. and Willene Morgan of Calhoun, GA. and several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Jeanna & Buster Ellison, along with a spectacular church family.

The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 3:00 pm. in the chapel of Fike Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Harris and the Rev. Ron Bard officiating. Interment will follow in Cohulla Baptist Church Cemetery with Joe Morgan, Jr., Jesse Ridley, James Gibbs, Darrell Gibbs, Ronnie Waters, and Lamar Waters serving as pallbearers.     
   

Her family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home  prior to the service.

Additionally, the family would like to extend appreciation to the entire staff of Tennova Healthcare for Ms. Barbara’s most recent care. Each of you are truly a gift from God and have been a tremendous blessing to our family. Thank you for everything and we love you all.
