James "Buddy" Messer

James E. (Buddy) Messer, 72, a resident of Cleveland passed away March 6,2018 in a local hospital. He was previously a Chef at Signature Health Care.

He was the son of the late Alvin and Mary Womac Messer and was preceded in death by his sisters; Martha Beck who passed away two weeks ago; Betty Hayes, Judy Frost and Bernita Messer; and brother, Wayne Messer.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews; Tammy Pickens (James); Shirley Goins (Terry); Steve Hayes; Barry Hayes (Kathy); and Alex Hayes.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Fike –Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Daren Miller officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 9, 2018 in Candies Creek Cemetery.

His family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family suggests that Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
