Susie R. Seaborn

Susie Rebecca (Becky) Seaborn, 95, a resident of Cleveland, peacefully passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, surrounded by her family in a local healthcare facility.  She was born in Sevier County, Tennessee.  She was one of eight children of the late Arthur and Sophiann Owenby.

She worked with needle and thread virtually her whole life, including over 30 years at Hardwick Clothes, and had a lifelong love of hand quilting. As a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church for over 65 years, and a member of the CRBC Quilters, her loving hand stitches have been put into hundreds if not thousands of quilts and lives over the past years.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Seaborn; brothers: Clell and Verlis Owenby; and sisters: Velma McKnight and Ethel Tillson.

She is survived by three sons: Donald (Jane) Seaborn, Leland Seaborn, and Arden (Wendy) Seaborn, all of Cleveland; daughter, Wanda (William) Rambaum of Oldsmar, Florida; grandchildren: Angela (Jeff) Arnold, Justin (Denean) Seaborn, Amy (Dan) Belcher, Jennifer (Josh) Denton, Aeriel (Steven) Clukey, Landon Seaborn, Kim (Kyle) Hardee, Ceatta Collins and Jeff Rambaun; ten great grandchildren; sisters: Lena Elliott, Emma Ferguson and Hettie Copeland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Hooker and Rev. Gary Moats officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Justin Seaborn, Landon Seaborn, Carson Belcher, Bryce Arnold, Hayden Seaborn, Josh Denton and Steven Clukey serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers include William Seaborn, Jeff Arnold, Dan Belcher and Jack Belcher.

Her family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Her family requests that memorials be made to the Clingan Ridge Quilters Group at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church, 2412 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland TN 37311.
