John Livingston Stubbs, Jr., 64, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his residence. He was retired from Olin after 31 years of service. He graduated from Woodward Academy in Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia. He was a member of 1st Centenary Methodist Church of Chattanooga. John was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends and was beloved by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Livingston Stubbs, Sr. and Mary Louise Snow Stubbs and his brother, David Michael Stubbs.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Elizabeth Payne Stubbs of Cleveland; three children, Erin Elizabeth Stubbs Braun and husband Daniel of Tebingen, Germany, John Livingston Stubbs III of Cleveland and Matthew David Stubbs of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandsons, the light of his life, Max Braun, Benjamin Braun and Oliver Braun; two sisters, Suzanne Stubbs Strout and husband, Greg of Simpsonville, SC and Cynthia Stubbs McMillan and husband, Charles of Savannah, GA. He is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends from 4:30 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
