Phillip Frizzell Coleman

December 6, 1951 — February 4, 2018

Phillip Frizzell Coleman, 66, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 in a Chattanooga hospital.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.  He was a Volunteer Fireman Safety Coordinator and he was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Joyce Coleman and parents, Phillip Emerson Coleman and Mary Louise Johnston Coleman.

Survivors include his wife, Terri Miller of Charleston; children, Shane Coleman and wife, Becky of Calhoun, Felicia McAlister and husband, Jeremy of Charleston, Zac Miller and wife, Maranda of Charleston, Ashley Sovastion and husband, Michael of Spring City and Mollie Childs and husband, Matt of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren, Pete and Tommy Coleman, Kadence, Kelsey and Kimber McAlister, Dave, Toby and Izzy Miller and Anna, Emma and Asher Sovastion; honorary brother, David Ramsey and mothers-in-law, Dorothy Beaty and Laura Edwards.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Candies Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Stan Gibson officiating.   Interment will follow in Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Loy Profit, Andy Profit, Justin Jones, Jim Hughes, Benny Atchley and Wayne Bunch serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Morris Clark, David Ramsey, Butch Hooper, Charles Wattenbarger, Zac Miller, Michael Sovastion and Matt Childs.

His family will receive friends from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Fike-Randolph and Son Funeral Home and on Thursday from 3:00-4:00 at the church prior to the service.
