Randell LeRoy Hicks, 52, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018. He attended Michigan Avenue Elementary and then Charleston High School where he enjoyed playing football. Randell thoroughly enjoyed the nursing field and loved all of his home health patients. He attended Community Hall Church and was of the Church of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, the Reverend Yules and Mary Simpson; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Annie Hicks; father, Roy Hicks; and uncle, the Reverend Grady Simpson.
Survivors include his loving mother, Emma Jo Simpson Hicks of Cleveland; sisters, Stephanie (Paul) Hyde, Tammy Bowers and Sonya Groomes, all of Cleveland; nieces, Heather (J.J.) Beck and Ashley Dunn, all of Cleveland; nephews, Douglas Groomes, Cory Hyde and Dakota (Cassie) Hyde, all of Cleveland; special great nieces, Autumn Rutlege, Summer Dunn, Isabella Rutledge and Lilyana Beck, all of Cleveland; special great nephews, Baylor and Braylin Hyde, both of Cleveland; and a great aunt, Frances Flowers, whom he really adored.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Cissom and the Reverend Lowell Hicks officiating. The interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dakota Hyde, Robert Groomes, Jimmy Walls, N.C. Cartwright, Tony Cissom and Doug Simpson serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
