G. B. “Chub” Goins, 85, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 in a local hospital. He attended Union Grove Church of Christ. Mr. Goins was retired from Cleveland Express where he was employed as a truck driver. He and his wife founded and ran Cleveland Flea Hollow Flea Market where they made many dear friends. Chub was a great family man and loved fast pitch softball and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ada Goins; sisters, Anna Belle Gregg, Geneva Dickson, and Jessie Cook; and brother, Stanley Goins.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Rosetta Richmond Goins of Cleveland; son, Gary Goins (Susie) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Tab Goins of Knoxville, Tisha Taylor (Chris) of Murfreesboro, and Jessica Read (Shane) of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren: Evan Goins, Logan Goins, Easton Goins, Kylie Taylor, Caden Taylor, Allie Read, Jane Read, and Samuel Read; and sister, Grace Smith of Cleveland.
The service has been rescheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Minister Roger Campbell and Minister Steve Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with Chris Taylor, Shane Read, Ronnie Flowers, Danny Caldwell, Steve Hall, Eugene McCracken, and Kim Randolph serving as pallbearers. Neil Powers, Don Workman, and Tab Goins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
His family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
