Billie Ann Bird Brumfield, 79, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at a local hospital. She was a graduate of Bradley High School Class of 1955. She was a member of Central Church of Christ for 41 years. Billie Ann was a beloved wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George “Jim” Bird and Anna Lee Ownbey Bird; and beloved brother, Ron Bird who passed away four months ago.
Survivors include her husband, Russell O. “Pete” Brumfield of Cleveland; daughter, Melissa Brumfield of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Ann Bird of Hixson; niece, Marsha Dove and Robert “Bobby” Johnson and nephew, Mitch Bird and wife, Wendy, all of Hixson; and great nephews and niece, Jacob, Jonah and Lauren Bird, Chris Bearden and Brandon Dove.
The service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Archey and Minister Ted Gobble officiating. Congregational singing will be led by Minister Ryan Ary. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tony Gobble, Mitch Bird, Jacob Bird, Jonah Bird, Taylor Gobble and Tim Gobble serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Bird and Conrad Duke.
Her family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
