Frances J. Scoggins

Frances J. Scoggins, 75, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Ida Brooks Morgan.

Survivors include her children, Raymond “Junior” Cartwright of South Carolina, Arvil Scott Cartwright, Tracy Falls, Selena (David) Williams and Tina (Charlie) Mendros, all of Cleveland, Angela (Larry) Massey of Athens and Penny Cartwright of Louisville, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Dovie Sue Buckner and Barbara Jean Goodner, both of Cleveland and Darlene Woods of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Dennis Purvis officiating. Interment will follow in Earls Cemetery with her family serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
