Virginia “Jenny” Burnside, 72, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 surrounded by her family at a Chattanooga health care facility. She was a member of Dalton Pike Baptist Church. She loved her family with all her heart and her children, grandchildren and great grand grandchildren were her joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Mable Patterson; son, Scott Berry; two brothers; two sisters; and granddaughter, Tonya.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Carlos “Bucky” Burnside of Cleveland; four children, Chuck Webb and wife, Vickie of Knoxville, Kevin Berry and wife, Sheryl of Lewisburg, WV, Brian Berry of Cleveland and Connie Hall and husband, Paul of Cleveland; 14 grandchildren, Major, Austin, Jeff, Orrin, Ryan, Amanda & Jimmy, Hilarie & Matt, Jessica, Maranda, Anne, Courtney and Zack; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Dudley Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
