Sarah Faye Owenby

Sarah Faye Owenby, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at an Etowah hospital.  She retired from Burlington Industries.  She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ruble McCurry and Pearl Odessie Wattenbarger McCurry; husband, Henry V. Owenby; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Wayne V. Owenby and wife, Kathy of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Amanda Renee Stiles and husband, Dylan of Benton and Joshua Wayne Owenby and wife, Daisy of McDonald; four great grandchildren, Katlyn Paige Owenby, Carrie Lorraine Owenby, Alexandria Lauren Owenby and Isaac Nathanael Owenby; great great granddaughter, Evelyn Renee’ Mallahan; sister, Alice Parker of Sandy Springs, GA; brother, James Lloyd McCurry of McAlister, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

The service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Leroy Elliott officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
