Lucy M. Smith

Lucy M. Smith, 97, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Bible study group. Lucy was a lifelong resident of the Chatata Valley Community. She was retired from Cleveland Natural Gas Company as office manager after 48 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Smith; parents, Gus T. Moore and Ella Mae Padgett Moore; and sisters, Maude Walling and Irene Smith.

Survivors include her niece, Pat Guyer and husband, Kendall of Greensboro, GA; great niece, Michelle Beauchamp of Cleveland; great-great niece, Amanda Lawson of Cleveland; and great-great nephew, Bo Beauchamp of Atlanta, GA.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Eric Atkins officiating. Jack Sanders, Ron Calfee, Gene Cox and Perry Price will serve as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.

Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home.
