Deedy Foster McCann, 96, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at a local hospital. She was a member of Community Hall Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos McCann; son, Danny McCann; parents, Daniel Clay Foster and Lois Morton Foster Gibbs; brothers: Elmer Foster, Oscar Foster, Sr., Ralph Foster, Miles Foster, Sgt. Floyd Foster, Joe Foster, Vance Foster, and J.W. Foster; and sister, Dorothy Stewart.
Survivors include her daughter, Patsy McCann DeVivo; grandchildren: Patrick Lawson and wife, Cori, Chris Lawson, Will McCann and wife, Tonya, Bud McCann and wife, Geneva, Missy Smith and Tony DeVivo; sister, Betty Merriman; nine great grandchildren all of Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Jane Crider; brother-in-law, John Wesley “Preacher Man” McCann and wife Hazel of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Cissom, Pastor Guinn Green and Bishop John McCann officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Shed Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
Her family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
