James A. “Jim” Scott, 75, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his home. He attended Philippi Baptist Church. He graduated from Bradley Central High School, class of 1960 and was a well known stone mason in the Chattanooga and Cleveland area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Ann Reed Scott; birth mother, Mary Bigelo; and son, Jason Lloyd Scott in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Patty K. Scott of Cleveland; children: Rick Scott (Cindy) of Tiki Island, TX, Mark Scott (Angie Patterson) of Cleveland, Veronica Scates of Roeland Park, Kansas, and Cheryl Allen (Jonathon) of Cleveland; grandchildren: Will Scott, Jennifer Newman, Crystal Medina, Marla Scott, Drake Allen and Corbin Allen; two great grandchildren; siblings: Larry Taylor (Lois Ann), Charlotte Higgins, Shirley Higgins, Carolyn Higgins, and Ronald Higgins; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sam and Karen Hicks.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with family members serving as pallbearers.
His family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 Tuesday at the funeral home.
