Floyd D. Murphy, 83, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church for over 30 years where he was a faithful choir director. Mr. Murphy was retired from Sears where he worked in the appliance repair service. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bunch Murphy; parents, Hugh and Zena Graham Murphy; and brothers, Hubert Murphy, Clyde Murphy and Fred Murphy.
Survivors include his grandsons, Jason Davis and Andy Hardy, both of Cleveland; special friend, Randy Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors.
His family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
