Inez "Shortie" Sutton

Inez “Shortie” Sutton, 81, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at a local hospital.  She was of Baptist faith.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Shortie retired from Duracell after 21 years of services. She enjoyed sewing and yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard “Tip” Sutton; parents, Ernest and Deette Myers and siblings, Pauline Daffron, Nannie Sue Massengil, Bessie Thompson and Charlie Myers.

Survivors include her children, Wilma Sutton and Danny Sutton and wife, Brenda, all of Cleveland; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor James Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Darrell Williams, Hunter Williams, Alan Holmes, Jimmy Buckner, Jimmy Holmes and Jimmy Barker serving as pallbearers. Herman Myers will serve as honorary pallbearer.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home.
