Catherine Rose Gamble

Catherine Rose Gamble, 86, lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at a local healthcare facility. She was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. She was retired from South Central Bell after 22 years of service.

She was a graduate of Charleston High School where she was a member of the Basketball team. Catherine was a huge fan of the UT Lady Vols. She enjoyed time spent with her pet Yorkie Poo, Pepper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harding “H. G.” Gamble; parents, Roscoe and Chloe Beck; sister, Dorothy Gentry; brothers: Leslie Beck, Kenneth Beck, Clyde Beck and Charles Beck.

Survivors include her son, John Gamble and wife Pansy of Cleveland; grandsons, Shaw Gamble and Jackson Gamble of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family would like to express their appreciation to her special friends, Linda Alford and Mary Lynn West and special niece, Janice Gentry Rowe.
