Candis Odelle Goins Patton, 100, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in a local health facility. She was of the Church of God faith and devoted her life to serving her Lord. She worked faithfully beside her husband, the Reverend T. Paul Patton, for 40 years pastoring in various churches in Tennessee, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. She also was very devoted to caring for her family.
Preceding her in death was her husband, the Reverend T. Paul Patton; her parents, Abraham Lincoln Goins and Fannie Elizabeth Merriman Goins; a deeply loved sister, Magdalene Goins King and her husband, a very special brother-in-law, Theodore King.
Survivors include her two daughters, Candis Patton and Paula Patton, both of Cleveland; special niece, Carol Lackey and her husband, Herbert of McDonald; two special nephews, David King of Chattanooga and Russell T. King, Jr., of Ooltewah; and many special in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews scattered among different states.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kelvin Page and Pastor Wendell Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Herbert Lackey, Russell King, David King, Lebron Lackey, Jeremy Jones, Matt Fisher and David Fisher serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
