Marjorie ''Marge'' Paysinger Lee, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at a health care facility in Memphis, TN. She was born in Benton, TN on July 12, 1924 to the late Paul and Esther Jane Campbell. Marge was a long time resident of Cleveland, graduating from Bradley High School School in 1942. She later graduated from the Baptist Memorial School of Nursing in Memphis. Marge worked for Dr. S. J. Sullivan, Sr. for many years and then was an industrial nurse for the TNT Plant in Chattanooga and Olin Chemicals. She and John Paysinger were founding members of Valley View Baptist Church and Marge was active in Sunday School, Training Union and Mission organizations. After her marriage to G. B. Lee she joined First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mission Committee. Marge moved to Memphis in 2012 to be close to her daughters. She was a charter member of the Helpline Ministry, a board member of the American Cancer Society, a board member of the Bradley County Nursing Home and a board member of the Shelter for the Homeless. She was especially proud that her family was honored at the White House in 1987 as one of six outstanding families in the United States. Marge was preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Paysinger and her second husband, G. B. Lee; brothers, Paul and William Campbell; and sisters, Pearl Campbell, Elsie Campbell Brannam and Jewell Campbell Higgins. Survivors include her three children, John Paysinger and wife, Mary Small, Jane Paysinger and Nancy Paysinger; grandchildren, Sunny Paysinger Tate and husband, Lee, Joshua Paysinger, Isis Paysinger and Micah Paysinger; and one great grandchild, Imani Jade Tate. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mary Paysinger Wolaver; several nieces and nephews; and the four children of G. B. Lee, Robert “Bob” Lee and wife, Polly, Patricia Lee Hensley, Karyl (Cookie) Lee Mee and Russell Lee and wife, Sally. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gibson and Pastor Tom Wickes officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00–2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
