Marcella M. Woody

Marcella M. Woody, 87, of Birchwood, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. She was a native of Greeneville, TN and a graduate of Camp Creek High School and Frenchburg College in Frenchburg, KY.  Marcella was a retired bookkeeper.  She was a member of Birchwood Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lura Myers; husband, Charles W. Woody; son, George Blane Masters III; two step daughters, Judy Woody and Susie Smith; two sisters, Eileen Myers and Inelle Broyles; and three brothers, Paul Myers, Don Myers and Clyde Myers. 

Survivors include her daughter, Carla (Kenneth) Laster of Birchwood; son, Charles “Charlie” H. (Donna) Woody of Birchwood; step daughter, Janet Woody of Johnson City, TN; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Wright officiating.  Interment will follow in Holder Memorial Cemetery with Roger Myers, Michael Laster, John Myers, Lloyd Jones, Scott Harvey and Blane Masters serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. 

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00– 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
