James ''Jamie'' Bryson, 81, of Cleveland was carried peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2016 with his family by his side. He attended Lebanon Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War.
Mr. Bryson was a bus driver and contractor for Bradley County Schools for over 40 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his time driving for the Bradley High School Band and Ocoee River Rafters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbin “Scorp” and Edna Bryson and his dear son, Benjamin “Benjie” Bryson.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Martha Sue Bryson of Cleveland; daughter, Debbie Bryson of Dover, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Tyler Keith of Cleveland; grandchildren, Amanda (Jimmy) Koons, Hilarie (Matt) Anderson, and Brandon Cooper all of Cleveland, Kimberlee Pacheco and Todd Coleman both of Dover, FL; seven great grandchildren; sister, Emma Jo Callahan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Garland Long officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Eddie Callahan, Richard Callahan, Mike Callahan, Matt Anderson, Jimmy Koons, Bill Green and Brandon Cooper serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
