Ethel ''Pete'' Marr, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 in a local hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a Red Cross Volunteer at Park Ridge Hospital for 15 years. She was known as a great cook and was famous for her homemade biscuits.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Marr; her mother, Ora Hipps; her father, Oliver Howard; her stepfather, Clinton Hipps; sisters, Kathleen Mullinax; brothers, Dewey Howard, Paul Howard and Elmer Brackett.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Kester) Calfee; grandson, Mark Calfee; sister, Barbara Woods; brother, J.C. (Nancy) Hipps; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver and “adopted son”, Jimmy Couch.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Couch, Doug Leamon, Brian Hipps, Jerry Hipps, Michael Porter and Jack Mullinax serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14 from 5:00– 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
