Delano Roosevelt Fetzer, 82, of Cleveland passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Fetzer was an avid UT fan. He enjoyed dancing and spending time at the senior center with his high school buddies. He was retired from Bowater after 38 years of service and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Nora Fetzer; sisters, Nina Mae Rowland, Edith Cook, Mary Lou Swartout, Nanny Sue Long and Jackie Seaborn; brother, Frankie Fetzer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Grubb Fetzer of Cleveland; children, Brenda Higgins, David Fetzer, Kenny (Jodi) Fetzer, all of Cleveland, Robin Fetzer, of Chattanooga, TN and Tammy (Mark) Horne of Dalton, GA.; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sister, Nora Still of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in the chapel of Fike- Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor John Tudor and Pastor Mike Justice officiating. A private burial will take place in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
His family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8 at the funeral home.
