Roy Gilbert Wilson, 79, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at a local hospital. He retired from the Bayer Corporation after 20 years of service. Roy attended North Cleveland Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Wilson and Lucy Lee Coe Wilson; wife and mother of his children, Sibyl Bates Wilson; and brother, J. L. Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Long Wilson of Cleveland; children, Karen Wilson of Cleveland and Greg Wilson and wife, Jenny of North Port, AL; stepchildren, Joe Rayburn and wife, Aletha and Jan Davis, all of Cleveland; 8 grandchildren, Brittany (Bryan Bain) Dills, Heather (Justin) Duke, Talania (Devon) Thomas, Chris (Maria) Rayburn, Lauren (Andrew) Martinez, Chelsey Rayburn, Jonathan Anderson and Tyler Davis; 7 great grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Wilson and wife, Billie, Bill Wilson and wife, Mary and Rex Wilson, all of Cleveland; two sisters, Maxine Williams and husband, J.C. and Willistine "Cookie" Wood and husband, Steve, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Steve Wood presiding.
