Leona Armstrong Geren, 87, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at a local health care facility. She was a member of Community Hall Church. Mrs. Geren was an avid Bradley High School basketball fan and she enjoyed dancing at the Cleveland Senior Center. She always enjoyed helping customers at the family wallpaper business. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Cob" Geren, Jr.; parents, Marion and Ada Ware Armstrong; and brother, Hubert Armstrong. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Mitchell and Dianna Geren, Dennis and Edna Geren all of Cleveland and Jeff and Caryn Geren of Knoxville; grandchildren: Natalie and Jeff Lane of Ooltewah, Angie and Mark Herron, Brad and Chrissy Geren, Brandy and Jeremy Goins, Jenny Geren, Lindsey Geren all of Cleveland, Tate and Kristin Geren, Cole Geren, Wesley Geren all of Knoxville, and Zachary Geren of Delano; great grandchildren: Gabrielle, Olivia and Isabella Lane all of Ooltewah, Amelia Herron, Nicholas and Addie Geren, Braxton, Taylor and Alex Goins of Cleveland, Jackson and Deacon Geren of Knoxville; sister, Dorothy Jackson and her family of Cleveland; special friend, Matthew Russell of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Guinn Green and Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Brad Geren, Tate Geren, Cole Geren, Zach Geren, Wes Geren, Jeff Lane, Mark Herron and Jeremy Goins serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday.
