December 9, 1924 — April 29, 2015

Mamie Edith Sartin, 90, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Wellington Place surrounded by her family. She retired as an executive secretary from the Tennessee Department of Education. Mamie was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Her hobbies included family genealogy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Mamie Trotter Ingle; husband, Willie R. Sartin; sisters, Marie Johnson, Inez Rutledge and Ella Ruth Ingle; and brothers, Ira Ingle, Bill Ingle and Glen Ingle. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Strickland and husband, Tom of Rocky Face, GA and Melody Babb and husband, Jeff of Chattanooga; six grandchildren, Gary Brumett, Sarah Strickland, Lilly Strickland, Hunter Strickland, Trey Sartin and wife, Pauline and Matthew Lawless; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
