Oscar E. Foster, Jr., 68, a resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 in a local hospital. He was employed at Combustion Engineering for 20 years and later at Westvaco for 20 plus years. Mr. Foster had a great love and devotion for farming which he had enjoyed for the last 10 years. He was a family man who was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. Mr. Foster enjoyed the companionship of his side kick "Scooter". He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar E. and Nellie Sue Foster, Sr.; and son, Paul Edward "Eddie" Foster. Survivors include his wife of 49 ½ years, Stella Rymer Foster of Cleveland; children, Stephen Foster and wife Wanda of Chatsworth, GA and Donna Blair and husband Roger of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Mitchell Foster and wife Shana, Halle Blair, Amber Blair and Josh Blair; four great-grandchildren, Maddison Foster, Marleigh Foster, Skye Flammia and Brantley Foster; brother, Donald Foster and wife Connie of Cleveland; sister, Jessie Scruggs of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Huff and Pastor Allan Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Springs Cemetery with Stephen Foster, Mitchell Foster, Josh Blair, Roger Blair, Mark Robinson, Paul Rymer and Timothy Scruggs serving as pallbearers.
