Mozelle L. Lindner, 87, of Charleston, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at her home. She was a 50 year member of the Calhoun Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star where she was a former Worthy Matron. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charleston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lindner, Jr., parents, Arnold and Nannie Smith Liner; sisters, Opal Fuller and Edna Fleeman; and brother, Howard Liner. Survivors include her children, Nancy Torrence and husband, Bill Torrence, Jr. of Knoxville, Debby Howard and husband, Donnie of Charleston and Mimi Byington and husband, Chris of St. Croix, Virgin Islands; 6 grandchildren, Holly Roberts, Chris Torrence, Geoff Howard, Chad Howard, Drew Williams and Megan Keys; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and three nieces and one nephew. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Harrill Millsaps and Pastor Adam Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chris Torrence, Geoff Howard, Chad Howard, Will Roberts, Timmy Orr and Perry Presley serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
