Joseph Paul Runion

Joseph Paul Runion, 74, of Riceville, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at his residence. He was retired from Olin Corporation following 33 years of service in production control. He was an avid gardener. Mr. Runion was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Hobart and Nancy Ella Moss Runion; a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Runion; and brother, Samuel David Runion. He is survived by his wife, Shelia Francine Godfrey Runion of Riceville; daughter, Tonya Evans and husband Shane of Charleston; son, Brian Runion of Nashville; two grandchildren: Grayson Evans and Parker Evans, both of Charleston; two brothers: Hoyt Runion and wife Genevieve, and Titus Runion and wife Patsy, all of Cleveland; one sister-in-law, Pat Runion of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Doyle McCracken officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Ben Kazy, Zack Payne, Jeremiah Payne, Tucker Godfrey, Mark Runion and Wesley Triplett will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 4 - 8 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at the funeral home and also 1 - 2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
