Douglas Arlin Biller, 61, of Cleveland passed away Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at a Chattanooga healthcare facility after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church for 31 years where he served as head of security. He retired from M&M Mars Manufacturing after 25 years of faithful service. In the late 80's, Douglas, his father, and brother began an operation called Pond Doctors that promised to heal even the sickest of ponds. They lived up to their name! In recent years, Douglas developed Pond Doctors into the business now called Pond Enviro. For the past five years, he served as a Reserve Deputy officer with the Bradley County Sheriff's Dept. He was part of the Sheriff Dept.'s first special church deputy program. Mr. Biller was also a former training officer with the Bradley County Fire Department, as well as a founding member of the Eureka Fire Station. After Douglas began his battle with cancer, he began to take a hard look at his relationship with God. He had always believed in God and knew that he was the creator of the universe, but Douglas never had a real relationship with him. A few months back, that changed and Douglas truly committed his life and his family to the Lord. He learned that no one, no matter how good, could ever earn righteousness or salvation. He learned that if he placed his faith and entrusted his life to a sovereign savior who was sacrificed in his place that he could be declared righteous! That is exactly what he did. Since that day a few months ago, he has been telling everyone who will listen (and some who would not) about his wonderful savior, and has since impacted many lives with the gospel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen A. and Mildred L. Biller. He is survived by his wife Pamela Sue Biller of Georgetown; children, Jennifer Hammond (Adam) of Maryville, TN, Rachel Clemons (Johnny) of Cleveland, and Michelle Biller Cuzzort (Michael) of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; Jacob Whitman, Estella Clemons, and John Owen Clemons, all of Cleveland, Makayla Biller, Micah Biller, Maddox Cuzzort, all of Georgetown, Arabella Hammond, Corban Hammond and Ali Beth Hammond, all of Maryville; one brother, Dr. Owen A. "Tom" Biller, Jr. (Martie) of Georgetown; nephew, Benjamin Biller (Michelle) of Georgetown; niece, Susannah Kness (Austin) of Georgetown; great-niece, Emily Biller, and great-nephew, Owen Arthur Biller III. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Smartt and Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. His family will receive friends from 4:00-6:30 p.m. on Monday at the church prior to the service. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Westwood Baptist Church Building Program, 4001 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37312. We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Biller family guestbook at www.fikefh.com. Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
