Sue L. Rogers

Sue Layfield Rogers, 91, of Cleveland, Tennessee, formerly of Phenix City, AL died September 30, 2014 in Cleveland, TN. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. She was born on October 19, 1922 in Russell Co, AL, the daughter of the late Ed and Susie Layfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joel S. Rogers, II in 1961, and her grandson, Casey Rogers. She is survived by her four children: Mona Berry (Larry Berry), Cindy Patton (George Patton), Joel Rogers III (Nancy Rogers) and Debra Johns (Larry Johns); seven grandchildren: Jenny Berry, Amy Williams, Phillip Weaver, Leslie Berry, Christopher Rogers, Sarah Goatley and Rachel Burgess. She had also been blessed with four great-grandchildren: Whitney Williams, Lily Burgess, and Oakley and Chapel Weaver. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Lakeview Memory Garden in Phenix City, AL. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Vance Memorial Funeral Home.
