Gail D. Pesterfield

July 17, 1943 — September 4, 2014

Gail D. Pesterfield, 71, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 4, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Hubert R. and Letha S. Dixon of Knoxville, TN. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. She was a dental hygienist for 40 years in the local area. Gail was a member of the Dinner with Friends Book Club; Cleveland Women's League; Sigma Kappa sorority; and past member and president of the Friends of the Library in Cleveland. She was an active member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, John Pesterfield; son, Chris Pesterfield of Lookout Mountain, GA; daughter, Kelly Pesterfield of Knoxville; grandsons, Will and Sam Pesterfield of Lookout Mountain, TN; brother, Reed Dixon of Sweetwater; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a life celebration at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Cleveland with Pastor Tom Wickes officiating. Her family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the church. The family requests that memorials be made to the Friends of the Library, 795 Church Street, Cleveland TN 37311.
