Edward M. Hensley, 88, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 in a local hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. Mr. Hensley retired from Georgia Pacific after many years of service. He attended Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Claudia Parker Hensley and one grandchild. Survivors include his wife of 50 plus years, Mae Hensley of Cleveland; children, Ginger Weaver, Angela Holt and Johnny Hensley and wife, Wedgie, all of Cleveland; and grandchildren, Ryan Powers, Jenna Powers, Caleb Powers, Steven Hensley and John Hensley, all of Cleveland. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Reverend B. J. Miller officiating.
