Betty S. Bowling, 90, of Loudon and a former resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at River Oaks Assisted Living in Loudon. She was a member of the South Chattanooga Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Grace Mae Gaffney Morgan; first husband, Winfred Shadwick and second husband, James Bowling; son, Ray Shadwick and siblings, James Morgan and Agnes Campbell. Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Harris and son-in-law, Ronnie Harris and Gail Welch and husband, Ray Welch; grandchildren, Mitchell Harris, Jenny Lipps, Michael Shadwick, Daniel Shadwick, Nicole Welch and Stacy Lemley; great-grandchildren, Emily Rollins, Tommy Rollins, Abigail Lipps, Sydney Harris, Lane Harris, Riley Harris, Peyton Hunter and Madison Buckner. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 in Greenwood Cemetery in East Chattanooga with Bishop Edward Varner officiating. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Fike Funeral Home.
