Margaret Ann Wright, 76, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in a local hospital. She achieved her RN degree from Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital as Assistant Director of Nursing after 35 years of service. Margaret volunteered at Skyridge until her health failed. She was an avid UT football and Lady Vols fan. Margaret was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, R. L. "Les" Martin and Hilda Gladys Martin. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jerry Wright of Cleveland; children, Shelley Kirkpatrick and husband, Jim of Ringgold, GA and Jennifer Wright Price and Zachary Wright and wife, Kristy, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Emma Kirkpatrick, Brandon Moore, Dylan Price, Alexis Wright and Austin Wright; two great grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Jr. and Kyler Moore; five sisters, Myra Piercey, Jean Robbins and Ruby Whalen, all of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada, Sharon Ellis and husband, Dave of Mt. Juliet and Helen Davis and husband, Leonard of Cleveland; brother, Robert L. Martin, Jr. and wife, Ruby of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Herbert Conley officiating. Interment will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Chilcutt Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
