David Smith Humberd

David Smith Humberd, 67, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his home near Benton. He was born March 8, 1947 in Bradley County where he practiced law for 40 years. David will be remembered as a devoted husband, a great father and an attorney of impeccable integrity. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Ora Humberd. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marlene Young Humberd and son, Dan, of Cleveland, OH; brother, Milton Humberd and wife, Susan of Cleveland; and nephew, John Humberd and wife, April of Cleveland. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cleveland Boys and Girls Club, 385 3rd Street, Cleveland, TN 37311 (please designate Cleveland Unit or Benton Unit) or to Habitat for Humanity, 300 Grove Ave. SW, Cleveland, TN 37311-5037.
