Mary P. Goodwin

Mary P. Goodwin, 103, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at a local healthcare facility. She was member of the Mountain View Church of God where she was the oldest living member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Finly Goodwin; her parents, W. Henry and Sallie L. Blanton Pope; and her daughter, Barbara Eggers. She is survived by her devoted friends: Charles "Chuck" Coppler and his wife, Sharon of Cleveland. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Bishop Fred Mercer, Bishop Joey Whittenbarger and Charles "Chuck" Coppler officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
