Paul Edward Kilgore

June 2, 1933 — January 15, 2014

Paul Edward Kilgore, 80, of Cleveland and formerly of South Lancaster, MA, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in a Chattanooga hospital with his family at his side. He was a member of the Bowman Hills Seventh- day Adventist Church. Mr. Kilgore was retired from the Atlantic Union Conference of SDA as Director of Education. He enjoyed coin collecting, reading, swimming and he loved singing and music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned R. and Myrtie Lee Kilgore; sister, Helen Jacome, and brother, Gene Kilgore. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Kilgore of Cleveland; children: Dixie Lee Lysinger (Walt) of Yuba City, CA, Reggie Paul Kilgore (Vicki) of Sand Mountain, AL, and Penny Christine Kennedy (Howard) of Cleveland; one grandchild, Carrie Dunks (Eric) of Oregon City, OR; 8 step grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Dwight Herod officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist School in honor of Paul. Memorials may be sent to the school at 300 Westview Drive, NE, Cleveland TN 37312.
