Frankie D. Norris, 79, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at her home. She was a member of Michigan Ave Baptist Church. She was an active member in Bridgemakers and enjoyed travel and gardening. She also was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. She retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital as a nurse and was formerly employed at Sanda Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Norris; her son, Barry Dixon; parents, Willard and Mary Lou Jenkins Moore, and siblings, Gary Burris and Phyllis Cox. Survivors include children, Peggy and Gary Norris of Cleveland, Steve and Joyce Dixon of Decatur and Chris and Mitchell Long of Charleston; grandchildren, Shelly Flowers, Chipper Norris, Rusty Norris, Matt Long, Jon Long and Zac Dixon; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests that memorials be made to, Michigan Ave. Baptist Church building fund or Habitat for Humanity.
