Boyd Ray Henry

Boyd Ray Henry, 68, of Charleston, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at his home. He was a member of Council Baptist Church. Mr. Henry retired from Bowaters after many years of service. In earlier years he was a school bus driver for Neil McAlister. He was a longtime volunteer for Charleston Fire Department and was an avid coon hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Roberts Henry; father, Gib Henry and mother, Ester Long Jacobs. Survivors include children, Junior Ray Henry and wife Brandy and Rebecca Ann Armstrong Hughes and husband Mack all of Pisgah, AL; grandchildren: Joshua Boyd Armstrong, Alex Armstrong and Amber Marie Henry; brothers, Edward Bill Henry and James Roy Henry both of Madisonville; sisters: Louise Colpitt of McKinleyville, California, Mamie Lou Buckner of Delano, Marie Martin, Aline Strickland, and Geneva Moses all of Madisonville, and Joyce Isbill of Sweetwater. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Jack Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Kitchens Cemetery near Vonore, TN. His family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
