Lottie Frances Guffey

Lottie Frances Guffey, 87, of Cleveland passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at her home. She had been a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church since 1951. Mrs. Guffey retired from American Uniform Company after 43 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wallace Guffey; son, Raymond Doyle Guffey; parents, Charles A. and Florence Garren Crumley; brothers, Albert Crumley and Floyd Crumley; and sister, Hattie Hammonds. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Gentry and husband Lawrence Gentry of Cleveland; son, Dennis Guffey and wife Jerrie Guffey of Greenville, SC; three granddaughters, Lisa Palen and husband Mark Palen of Cleveland, Christina Roma and husband Jeff Roma of Charlotte, NC and Rachel Carter and husband Blake Carter of Greer, SC; two great-granddaughters, Morgan Caldwell of Cleveland and Maggie Roma of Charlotte, SC; three great-grandsons: Collin Caldwell of Cleveland, Phillip Roma of Charlotte, SC and Alex Carter of Greer, SC; two step-granddaughters, and three step-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Wayne Finnell officiating. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Fike Funeral Home.
