Charles William Davis

Charles William Davis, 57, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Alvin C. York VA Center in Murfreesboro, TN. He was a member of Waterville Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served for over four years with an honorable discharge. He was an avid outdoorsman. After a severe automobile accident, he resided in the Alvin C. York VA Center for the past 28 years. He was preceded in death by his father, F. Robert Davis and his grandparents, A.F. and Clara Renner Bennett and Taylor and Inez Webb Davis. He is survived by his mother, Billie L. Davis Wooten and Wiley of Cleveland; one brother, Bryan Davis and wife, Lisa of Cleveland; several aunts and uncles, Geraldine Dement, Swanson Bennett and wife, Nina, Maurine Dement and husband, John, Bernice Boring and husband, Wilburn, A. Franklin Bennett, Jr. and wife, Nancy, Raymond Bennett and wife, Bettye, Laverne Easterly and husband, Jack, Laura Jean Bennett, Katherine Gibson and husband, Steve, Brenda Medlin and husband, Ron, Olin Bennett and wife, Nadine, and Reba Davis. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Steve Gibson and Pastor Allan Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. His family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
